Dear JCC Member,

We would like to inform you of a positive change at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh. On April 7, 2008, we will go live with a new, comprehensive and more efficient Windows-based member database system.

Your current membership card will not be compatible with the new system and we will be distributing a new membership card to you and each eligible family member. The new cards are different than your current cards–there are no photos or membership numbers. Different membership types are indicated by different card colors and are specific to an individual and may not be shared. Each card has a bar code and must be “swiped” at various locations throughout the JCC. You will receive both a small keycard that can attach to a key chain as well as a wallet-sized card. We ask that you keep your new card with you at all times when you are in the JCC.

The new system will improve the timeliness of billing and registration procedures, as well as our internal security system. With improved data collection, over time we will be better able to respond to members’ interests and manage program enrollment more effectively.

On Thursday, April 3, all cards that have not been picked up will be mailed.
