The New JCC Leatrice and John M. Wolf Centerfit
The Leatrice and John M. Wolf Centerfit, which recently received a $4 million
renovation and expansion, is modern, user-friendly and up‑to‑date,
with newly configured areas including:
- State-of-the-art, 10,000 square-foot strength and cardiovascular fitness
training area Strength training area that includes senior- and teen-friendly
circuit training equipment
- Dedicatedpersonal training area specially equipped for individuals and small
groups
- Two renovated convertible squash/racquetball courts
- New spinning studio
- Expanded and renovated weight room with many pieces of new equipment
- Addition of a family friendly waiting area near the pool
- Addition of an ADA accessible family restroom
- General locker room upgrade
- Pool: Installed ultra-violet filtration and disinfectant system that improves
air quality
- Fully updated plumbing, heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems
- "Wi-Fi" wireless internet access in lounge areas throughout the building
New Equipment includes more than 65 new pieces of cardio equipment plus many
strength training pieces including:
- 10 Precor USA® Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainers (5 lower body ellipticals
with cross ramps and 5 total body ellipticals with cross ramps)
- 16 Star Trac E-series Treadmill (12 with personal viewing screens)
- Cybex Eagle: 17-piece Circuit for our new weight room.
- Star Trac's HumanSport™ strength training equipment. The six machines
act as 12 workout stations by utilizing dual weight stacks to provide a wide
range of total body training options
- 20 Star Trac Spinner® Bikes for spinning classes including the new The
Spinning® Computer
- 5 Expresso Fitness bikes: Interactive stationary bikes equipped with software
technology that provides a platform for realistic road touring, competitions,
contests and internet-based training
- 2 Arc Trainers: one total-body and one lower-body for cardio training
- 5 SCIFIT® pieces: 2 recumbent ellipticals, 2 recumbent steppers and 1
upper body ergometer-bike combo, especially useful for people with back, knee or
heart issues and can be adapted for use from a wheelchair
- 10 bikes: 5 upright and 5 recumbent; 6 with personal viewing screen
- 2 Precor Adaptive Motion Trainers - The JCC is the only fitness facility that
has these new low-impact cardio trainers that allow freedom of movement by
adapting to movements, allowing you to completely change the motion and path of
your steps without so much as the push of a button.
- 3 Fluid Rowers that use water for resistance
- 1 stepper
Special Features:
Multi-station ClubCom broadcasting for personal viewing
screens and larger viewing screens throughout Centerfit.
