The winners are: Dana Himmel, Heather Derby, Aviva Kelsey, Conrad Quesen, Keith Brednich and Alan Charness.

*JCC Installs New Fitness Equipment: New Ellipticals and “Arcs” were chosen in response to members’ usage. Just one year after the JCC completed a $4 million renovation of fitness facilities in Squirrel Hill—complete with more than 65 pieces of new cardio and strength training equipment—some substantial additions have been made.  Responding to members’ equipment usage patterns, the JCC in April purchased and installed five additional total body Precor USA® Ellipticals and two total body Cybex International Arc Trainers.  All of these pieces have a Personal Viewing Screen for entertainment.  “The decision to order additional equipment was made because we listened to our members,” said Laurie Wood, Fitness Director.  “We used the sign-in process to evaluate what equipment was getting the most use, and what equipment members were waiting for.”  The Precor Ellipticals offer the best of both worlds, combining CrossRamp® with Total Body for a more effective workout, yielding more glute and quad activity than a stairclimber, cycle or treadmill.  The Cybex Arc Trainers are user-friendly and biomechanically suited to the human body to deliver a safe, effective workout.
