JCC's Kirshner Family EKC Weekend Camp Sold Out
Here's How You can Join the Fun!
The June session of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh's Kirshner Family EKC Weekend is sold out but families still can sign up to enjoy a day at camp on Saturday, June 12.
The Kirshner Family EKC Weekends, held at the JCC's Emma Kaufmann Camp in Morgantown, West Virginia, give families an opportunity to experience the excitement of camping. This year, Family Weekends are being held in June (Aleph) and August (Bet). While the June 11-13 weekend is completely filled, families still can sign up for a day trip to camp on Saturday, June 12; cost is $75/family. Some space also remains for the Kirshner Family Weekend Bet from August 27-29; cost is $200/family.
Family Camp activities on Saturday are well worth the trip, giving each member of the family a great taste of the fun and community of EKC Camp. Saturday campers can participate in:
- Horseback riding
- Archery
- Pottery
- Arts & Crafts
- Ball games
- Swimming
- Blob/Rave/Cove activities on the lake
- Family Nature Hike
- Family Canoe Trip
- Special Sababa events for first-time campers
- Special for children age 5 and under with an adult: Jr. Rave and Pool Games
- Cookout Dinner and Pool Party
- Havdalah and Talent Show
Emma Kaufmann Camp, the JCC's resident overnight camp, is situated in the beautiful hills and forests along Cheat Lake in Morgantown, West Virginia, providing opportunities for adventures, sports and recreational activities on land and water. EKC camping programs, for kids entering grades 2 through 10, run from June 20 to August 15, 2010.

Youth Group Personal Training
