Parkour Fitness Camp for ages 9-14
August 11-15 • 9 AM-3:30 PM
Run, jump, vault and climb! Taught by Andrew Obenreder,
professional Parkour athlete and director of the Pittsburgh
Parkour Association, this camp will focus on fundamental
Parkour movements, the importance of knowing your body,
and learning Parkour as a method of training, discipline and a
problem-solving tool. Campers will visit various Parkour
hotspots around the JCC, Family Park and neighborhood,
putting Parkour concepts into action.
Parkour is the art of overcoming obstacles as swiftly and efficiently
as possible using only your body. The fundamentals
include running, jumping and climbing. Parkour practitioners are called traceurs.
