Annual Mitzvah Menorah Mitzvah
A commandment to do something good for someone else. Help us make a child’s holiday brighter, happier and more hopeful by donating an age-appropriate new and unwrapped gift and placing it in the designated box in our lobby. Gifts will be accepted through November 30 and will be taken to The Squirrel Hill Food Pantry (a program of Jewish Family & Children’s Services) on December 1 in time for Chanukah distribution. Community-Wide Chanukah Celebration
Monday, December 6, 5:30-7 pm
Chanukah candle-lighting, songs, supper, contests, crafts and lots of fun for the entire family! Join with your South Hills friends from the JCC, Beth El Congregation of the South Hills, Temple Emanuel of South Hills, Chabad of the South Hills, Beth Israel Center (Pleasant Hills), Beth Israel Congregation (Washington PA) and Congregation Ahavath Achim (the Carnegie Shul) for our annual Community Chanukah Celebration.
- Chanukah Candle-lighting with Rabbi Mark Mahler and Rabbi Alex Greenbaum
- Light supper of pizza, potato latkes and donuts
- Lego menorah building contest
- Dreidle spinning contest
- Lots of fun for the entire family!
