Trainer Spotlight: Joshua Lyon
Personal Trainer Joshua Lyon

Having spent five years as an Infantry Officer in the Marines, Joshua Lyon understands the discipline and mental strength that is required to help you meet your fitness goals.

His personal mantra is a saying he learned in the Marines: "Pain is weakness leaving the body," but Joshua tempers that with compassion and understanding of his clients' feelings and needs. "Yes, I want to push you and help you learn to push past your perceived mental or emotional boundaries," he says, "but it's really about the relationship we develop."

Joshua focuses on "Functional Fitness"-helping clients in how they perform their everyday physical activities-and he works with clients of all ages and conditions, from high school athletes to older clients recovering from a knee replacement.

He earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from Indiana Wesleyan University and is completing his first year in the Unversity of Pittsburgh's Doctor of Physical Therapy program. He is available to work with clients on weekends and at other times during the week.

FREE 1/2 Hour Session with Joshua
